This delicious Grapefruit Peach Vodka cocktail is super refreshing and perfect for a summer sip! I wanted to make a drink using my Ketel One Peach and Orange Blossom vodka. Pink grapefruit goes with the peachy flavors really well. Some sweet lychee liqueur and little bit of bubbles from grapefruit soda make this drink even tastier!

This makes for a great summer cocktail! The peachy pink color makes it a really cute drink for a bridal shower or girls night, too.

    Ingredients

Here are the ingredients you'll need for this drink:

    • Peach flavored vodka - Ketel One Peach & Orange Blossom vodka is great, or Ciroc Peach would also work well too.
    • Grapefruit juice - fresh squeezed if possible!
    • Lychee liqueur - Lychee goes so well with the peach and grapefruit! I used Giffard Litchi-Li liqueur.
    • Peach bitters - I used Cocktail Punk peach bitters.
    • Grapefruit soda - I used Fever Tree sparkling pink grapefruit soda, which is less sweet than most grapefruit sodas.
Ingredients to make a Grapefruit and Peach Vodka cocktail together on a countertop.

    Substitutions

Here are some ways you can substitute the ingredients in this cocktail:

    • Peach vodka - if you don't have a peach flavored vodka, you can use plain vodka, and add something peachy in place of the lychee liqueur. Try peach schnapps or a peach syrup.
    • Lychee liqueur - if you don't have this, you can use peach schnapps, or a different flavored spirit like Chambord liqueur. Or, just use plain simple syrup.
    • Grapefruit soda - you can use plain seltzer or grapefruit seltzer (sometimes called pamplemousse) if you don't have this soda.
    • Peach bitters - you can omit this if you don't have it, or try using citrus bitters.

    Variations

Here are some variations on this peachy recipe:

    • Keto Friendly version - it's pretty easy to make this into a keto-friendly drink. The vodka has no sugar already. Instead of the lychee liqueur, try using a sugar free syrup. You can sub in a grapefruit seltzer or plain seltzer in place of the soda.
    • Non-alcoholic version - if you want to make a mocktail version, try using a peach syrup in place of both the vodka and liqueur.
    • Fresh peach - to give this even more of a peach flavor, you can muddle some slices of peach in the bottom of your cocktail shaker. Keep in mind this will give the drink a cloudy appearance (but it'll still taste great!)

To make the drink more or less sweet, you can adjust the amount of liqueur you use.

    Equipment

You'll need to have a cocktail shaker, strainer and jigger in order to easily make this drink. (Side note: you can grab a discount by using my code, LKDrinks, for all A Bar Above products!)

You'll also need a cocktail serving glass, which should hold around 8 ounces (depending on how much ice you want to use).

If you want to use fresh grapefruit, you'll also need a knife, cutting board, and a citrus juicer.

    Instructions

Start out by prepping your grapefruit garnish, if you're using it. (You can also use a slice of fresh peach if you prefer!) Cut a slice of the grapefruit and then a smaller piece from that slice to attach to the rim of the glass.

Set it aside while you make the drink.

Use a citrus juicer to juice your fresh grapefruit, or just use bottled grapefruit juice. Add the juice to your cocktail shaker.

Hand cutting a slice of pink grapefruit.
Hand using a fine mesh strainer to pour grapefruit juice into a cocktail shaker.
Pour the grapefruit juice through a fine mesh strainer if you have one, so you can catch the pulp.

Add in the lychee liqueur and the peach vodka to the cocktail shaker.

Hand pouring Ketel One Peach & Orange Blossom vodka into a cocktail shaker.

Add in the peach bitters, and then fill the shaker with ice.

Hand using a dropper tool to add peach bitters to a cocktail shaker.
Hand adding ice to a cocktail shaker.

Shake vigorously, about 15-20 times, to chill and dilute the drink.

Add fresh ice to your cocktail glass. Then, strain the drink into the glass.

Hand straining a cocktail into a gold-rimmed glass.

Top off the drink with grapefruit soda. Add your piece of fresh grapefruit for a garnish, and serve.

Hand adding a piece of pink grapefruit to a cocktail glass as a garnish.

Hint: Chill all of your ingredients about 30 minutes before making the drink, in order to have it stay colder longer. This goes for the glass, too!

    Top tip

For the best presentation, clear ice is the way to go! Fridge ice is usually cloudy and doesn't look as nice.

I used a large clear ice sphere (you can make one with this clear ice sphere maker). The ice you get in bags at the grocery store is clear too, and works great!
