what is amaro?

make your homemade cocktails pop with bittersweet liqueurs

Amaro (plural: amari) is a category of bittersweet liqueurs that originated in Italy.

Traditionally served on their own without ice, they also make amazing cocktail ingredients.

Typically, lighter or red colored amari are served before a meal, and darker, richer types would come after the meal. But each amaro has its own special recipe, and no two are truly alike.

Some popular cocktails that use these liqueurs are: - Negroni  - Aperol Spritz - Paper Plane  - Jungle Bird
