easy classic champagne cocktail
The Kir Royale is a delicious classic cocktail, and it's so easy to make at home! Just two ingredients will have you ready to say "Cheers"!
All you need to make this drink is Creme de Cassis and Champagne! Creme de Cassis is a blackcurrant liqueur, with a deep, jammy berry flavor. (The lemon garnish is optional!)
To make the drink, prep any garnishes first. I used a channel knife to peel a long, thin strip of lemon peel.
Then, curl the lemon peel around something long and thin, like the handle of a bar spoon or a chopstick. Let it sit for a few minutes to set the curl.
Add the black currant liqueur and the Champagne to your serving glass. Try to pour the Champagne slowly, so it doesn't bubble up too much.
Rest the lemon peel garnish on the rim of the glass, and serve! For an easy garnish variation, try adding a fresh blackberry or raspberry directly to the glass.
