How to make a Tom Collins

(a classic gin drink)

This classic cocktail was first made in the late 1800's, and is still popular today. With just four ingredients, it's really easy to make at home!

To start, cut a slice of fresh lemon for your garnish, and use the other half of the lemon for juice.

Add the lemon juice along with simple syrup and gin to a cocktail shaker.

Shake with ice and strain it into a cocktail serving glass filled with fresh ice.

Top it all off with some seltzer water.

Use a cocktail pick or toothpick to skewer a Maraschino cherry inside your lemon slice. Then serve! This is the classic Tom Collins garnish.
