2tablespoonsugar(for the rim - I used blue colored sugar)
Instructions
Prepare your blueberry garnish if you're using one by adding three blueberries to a cocktail pick.
If you're using a sugared rim, prep the glass by wetting the rim (either with water or a cut lemon) and dipping it into a dish of sugar. Set the glass aside.
Add the blueberries to your cocktail shaker, and smash them up using your muddler.
Add in the lemon juice, Cointreau, vodka and lemon bitters.
Fill the cocktail shaker with ice, seal it and give everything 15-20 hard shakes.
Strain the drink into your prepared martini glass.
Add the slice of lemon and cocktail pick with blueberries to the drink as garnishes, and serve.
Notes
For the sugar rim, I used a blue-colored sanding sugar to make it more festive. You can also use regular granulated sugar, or whatever color sugar you like! If you want even more flavor, try using cotton candy sugar!
If you like a sweeter martini, you can use a blueberry cocktail syrup instead of (or in addition to) fresh blueberries.
