Cut a slice out of the middle of a fresh pear. Make a small notch into the bottom of the slice where you want it to attach to the rim of the glass and set it aside.
Add the pear vodka, dry vermouth, cinnamon syrup and cardamom bitters to a cocktail mixing glass.
Fill the mixing glass with ice.
Use a long bar spoon to stir the drink for about 30 seconds. Try to keep the spoon to the outside of the ice, and just spin the ice around rather than going back and forth through the ice.
Strain the drink into your serving glass.
Add the pear slice to the rim of the glass and serve.
