2tablespoonssugar(for garnish - I used demerara sugar)
peach slice and single raspberry(optional - for garnish)
Instructions
Wet half of the rim of your cocktail glass and dip it into the sugar. Set the glass aside while you make the drink.
Add the peaches, raspberries and lemon to a cocktail shaker.
Muddle the fruits until they are all mashed up. (If you have a small shaker, you may want to muddle each piece of fruit separately as you put them in to make it easier.)
Add in the bourbon and Cointreau.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake well, about 30 times.
Add fresh ice to your cocktail glass and strain the drink into the glass. You can use a fine mesh strainer to get out all of the fruit pulp if you have one.
If the drink gets stuck in the strainer from all of the fruit pulp, use a spoon to stir it up so that the liquid drains into the glass.
Add a peach slice and a raspberry to a cocktail pick, and add it to the side of the glass before serving. Cheers!
Notes
Instead of the Cointreau, try using either Peach Schnapps or Chambord raspberry liqueur to amp up the fruit flavor.
Crown Royal Peach is also a tasty substitute for regular bourbon.
