The S'Mores Martini is a rich, decadent cocktail that tastes so much like a s'mores treat! With real marshmallow vodka and chocolate syrup, this cocktail is definitely dessert in a glass. It's a real showstopper!
The rich and creamy texture of this drink makes it great for cooler weather, like fall or even Christmas season. It's great for anytime you might be toasting up some marshmallows!

Marshmallow Vodka
I made my own Marshmallow Vodka recipe for this drink, and it is pretty easy to do! It just takes some time to dissolve marshmallows into vodka.
Check out the full instructions on my Marshmallow Vodka recipe post!
As a quick recap, I cut up about a cup of marshmallows and covered them with vodka in a mason jar for about 2 days. Every so often, I'd shake the mixture to make sure the marshmallows all got coated.
After everything was dissolved, I strained out the corn starch through a coffee filter, and then bottled it up! It is still pretty strong like regular vodka, but with a sweet marshmallow flavor that is perfect for this drink.
Ingredients
To make the S'mores Martini, you'll need a few specialty ingredients (they are worth finding if you can!).
You'll need heavy cream, chocolate syrup, and Bailey's S'mores cream liqueur. The Bailey's is sometimes hard to find, so if you can't find it, use regular Bailey's.
You'll also need two kinds of vodka: chocolate flavored and marshmallow flavored. For the chocolate, I used Van Gogh Dutch chocolate vodka.
I used homemade marshmallow vodka (see instructions above, or in my homemade Marshmallow Vodka recipe), but you could also use vanilla vodka or plain vodka.
For the garnish, you'll need to have graham cracker crumbs, more chocolate syrup and a large marshmallow.
Substitutions
If you haven't made Marshmallow Vodka, you can use a store bought vanilla vodka, or even whipped cream vodka.
For the Bailey's S'mores liqueur, just sub in regular Bailey's, or another brand of Irish Cream. If you don't have that either, just use a little more of the Marshmallow Vodka instead.
If you don't have the chocolate vodka, just use more Marshmallow Vodka instead.
Variations
Need to change up this recipe? If this drink is too sweet for you, you can cut back on the amount of chocolate syrup you use. Or, omit it altogether, especially if you are using it on the rim of the glass.
If the drink is too creamy, you can swap out the heavy cream for either half and half or whole milk. Or, use a non-dairy milk like coconut milk instead.
To make this martini into a mocktail, just swap out the vodka for either filtered water or coconut water.
Equipment
You'll just need some basic bar tools for this drink! Grab a jigger, a cocktail shaker and strainer, and a martini glass.
If you want to have the marshmallow on top, you'll also need a cocktail pick, or a toothpick long enough to rest on the rim of the glass.
And if you want to toast the marshmallow, a kitchen torch works great here. Or, put the marshmallow in a toaster oven on broil until they are toasted (keep an eye on them!)

Instructions
Start out by adding the graham cracker rim to the glass. Dip the rim in chocolate syrup, and then dip it again in the graham cracker crumbs.
If you're adding a marshmallow garnish, add it to a cocktail pick, or a skewer.
Add the cream and the chocolate syrup to your cocktail shaker.
Add in the Bailey's and the two types of vodka.
Fill the cocktail shaker with ice, and give everything about 15-20 hard shakes to incorporate the ingredients.
If you're using a glass cocktail shaker and you still see some chocolate syrup at the bottom of the glass, give it a few more shakes to get it all mixed in to the drink.
Drizzle more chocolate syrup into the glass (this is optional but looks amazing!)
Then, strain the drink into the glass.
Optionally toast your marshmallow with a kitchen torch (or use it untoasted) and rest it on the rim of the glass.
Serve and enjoy!
Hint: If you want to chill your cocktail glass, you can add the graham cracker crumbs to the rim first, and then chill it in the fridge for around 30 minutes.
Top tip
If you want to make a bunch of these martinis for a party, you can mix up all of the ingredients beforehand in a pitcher! Keep it in the fridge until you want to serve.
You can even pre-toast the marshmallows in the oven. Just lay them out on a baking sheet and put them under the broiler, or toast them individually using a kitchen torch. Then, add each one to a cocktail pick after they cool. They will still look and taste delicious!
📖 Recipe
S'Mores Martini
Equipment
- 2 Small dishes
- Cocktail pick (optional)
- Kitchen torch (or other way to toast the marshmallow) (optional)
Ingredients
Garnish (optional)
- 1 tablespoon graham cracker crumbs
- 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup (plus more to drizzle)
- 1 large marshmallow
Cocktail
- ¾ ounce heavy cream (or half and half)
- ¼ ounce chocolate syrup
- ¾ ounce Bailey's S'mores cream liqueur (or regular Bailey's)
- ¼ ounce chocolate vodka
- 1 ounce marshmallow vodka (or vanilla vodka)
Instructions
Garnish (optional)
- Add chocolate syrup to a small dish, and graham cracker crumbs to a second small dish.
- Dip the rim of your martini glass into the chocolate syrup, and then dip it into the graham cracker crumbs so they stick to the rim of the glass.
- Set the glass aside.
- Add a large marshmallow to a cocktail pick. You can use it as-is, or toast the marshmallow just after making the drink itself.
Cocktail
- Add the cream, chocolate syrup, Bailey's S'mores, chocolate vodka and vanilla vodka to a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice.
- Shake vigorously, about 15-20 times.
- If you want to make the chocolate syrup drizzle, take your chocolate syrup bottle and carefully drizzle it into the inside of the martini glass, moving the glass around while you pour so that the syrup makes a swirl pattern inside the glass.
- Strain the drink into the martini glass.
- If you're toasting the marshmallow, you can do it now. I used a kitchen torch to toast mine. Just go slow, be cautious and don't burn yourself! You can wear a fireproof glove if you have one.
- Rest the marshmallow on top of the drink, and serve!
