To me, peach and mango are the perfect fruits to celebrate summer! This Peach Mango Mule is a tasty summer twist on the classic Moscow Mule, and it's such an easy and delicious cocktail. Great for keeping cool on a hot summer day!
I love this drink in summer, but if you're using store bought syrup and puree, you can enjoy it any time of year. It's really at its peak, though, when you can get an in-season fresh peach or mango for the garnish. (Plus, you get a little snack to go along with it!)

What is a Moscow Mule?
A Moscow Mule is a delicious classic vodka cocktail that's easy to make. Just mix together a shot of vodka with lime juice and ginger beer. You can add a little simple syrup if you want yours to be a little sweeter.
You can make a tequila version of a Moscow Mule too, or try out this tasty Lavender Mule for a springtime variation!
Ingredients
To make this cocktail, you'll need just a few ingredients. First, vodka, of course! Plain vodka works perfectly, but I ended up using Ketel One Botanical Peach & Orange Blossom vodka to amp up the peach flavor even more.
Next, some mango puree. You can make this at home by pureeing a ripe mango in the blender. I used Naked brand mango smoothie, which works great. Or, you can use a Mango Nectar too. (Keep in mind that mango nectar has some added sugar so it will add some more sweetness to the drink.)
For the peach, use a peach syrup. I really like the Liquid Alchemist brand peach syrup since it uses real peaches.
You'll also need lime juice (preferably fresh squeezed for the best flavor), and some ginger beer.
For garnish, I used a slice of a lime, a fresh peach slice, and some fresh mint.
Substitutions
Need to make some substitutions? If you don't have vodka on hand, you can use a different spirit like white rum, gin or tequila.
Instead of the mango puree, you can use a mango nectar (link to my homemade version) or mango syrup. If you use the syrup, you may want to switch out the peach syrup for peach juice instead.
For the peach syrup, you can use peach juice instead, or make your own peach puree from fresh fruit.
You can use ginger ale in place of the ginger beer. Just keep in mind that ginger beer has a much stronger ginger flavor.
Variations
Here are some variations on this recipe:
- Mango liqueur - you can try using a mango liqueur instead of the mango puree. If you do, just cut back on the vodka by ¼ to ½ ounce, since the liqueur will have its own alcohol too.
- Non-alcoholic version - you can easily make this into a non-alcoholic mocktail! Since ginger beer doesn't have alcohol, you'll just need to sub out the vodka. Try using a plain seltzer in its place, or a peach or lime flavored seltzer.
- POG flavor - instead of the mango juice, try using some POG juice (pineapple, orange and guava, like from this POG juice pack) to bring even more tropical flavor.
Equipment
You won't need a ton of fancy equipment to make this drink! The most important thing is to have a jigger on hand to measure your ingredients, plus the cocktail glass itself.
Mules are traditionally served in copper mugs (I used this copper mug set), which have the effect of making the drink seem colder. They're definitely cute, especially if you drink a lot of mules! But if you don't have one, just use a double old fashioned glass or a tumbler.
If you're using a fresh fruit garnish, a knife and cutting board will come in handy to prep them. Plus a citrus juicer if you're using fresh lime (definitely recommended!)

Instructions
Start out by adding the vodka and mango juice to the cocktail glass.
Then, add in the peach syrup and the lime juice.
Fill the glass with ice, and then top it off with the bubbly ginger beer.
Give the drink a gentle stir to make sure everything is mixed together.
If you're using the garnishes, cut slits into the peach and lime slices to attach them to your glass rim. Then, gently clap your fresh mint sprig between your hands before adding it to the drink.
Serve and enjoy!
Hint: Try to chill all of your ingredients before making the drink. This will keep the ice from melting too quickly!
Top tip
This drink would make a great party cocktail, and you can do some beforehand prepping too! Just mix together all of the vodka, mango puree, peach syrup and lime juice beforehand in a pitcher, and keep it in the fridge.
(Hint: You can use cup measurements instead of ounces to easily make 8 servings.)
When you're ready to serve, add your ice plus 4 ounces of the mixture to your cocktail glass. Top with the ginger beer and optional garnishes, and serve!

Peach Mango Mule
Equipment
- Copper mug (or other serving glass, like an old fashioned glass or a tumbler)
- Knife and cutting board (to make the garnishes and if using fresh lime)
Ingredients
Cocktail
- 2 ounces Ketel One Botanical Peach & Orange Blossom Vodka (or regular vodka)
- ½ ounce mango puree (preferably no sugar added - see Notes below)
- ½ ounce peach syrup
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 4 ounces ginger beer
Garnishes (optional)
- 1 slice peach
- 1 slice lime
- 1 sprig fresh mint
Instructions
- Add the vodka, mango puree, peach syrup and lime juice to your cocktail mug.
- Fill the mug with ice.
- Top with the ginger beer.
- Use a bar spoon or regular spoon to gently stir the drink.
- (Optional) Cut a slit in your peach and lime slices, and attach them to the rim of the mug.
- (Optional) Clap the mint sprig in between your hands gently, and then add it to the top of the drink. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Mango Puree: If you don't have mango puree or juice in your grocery store, try making a mango puree with fresh mangos. Just add some mango chunks to a blender and blend until smooth, adding a little water if the blender gets stuck. You can use that puree in place of the juice.
