What is Christmas in July?
Christmas in July is another chance to celebrate the holiday season! It's celebrated each year on July 25th.
It started in the southern hemisphere, where the seasons are reversed, so they could experience a second Christmas season in their time of cold weather.
Now, it is celebrated in the northern hemisphere too. It's a fun way to have a summer get together in July!
Cranberry Cocktail Recipes
Cranberry is a huge flavor for Christmas around here! It makes for some really tasty cocktails, too.
Many of these cocktails are garnished with fresh cranberries, which are pretty hard to find in the summer. If you can, try to freeze a bag of cranberries when they're available in the fall so you can use them year-round.
Note: If cranberry juice is hard to find for you, try using a mix of pomegranate juice or blackcurrant juice with a little lemon juice. Bonus points for adding some lemon bitters too!

Syrups and Mixers for Easy Christmas in July Drinks
Hopefully all of these delicious drinks have inspired you to celebrate the season (no matter when it is!) Below is a list of mixers and syrups you can make or buy to make your day even easier!
- Homemade Simple Syrup - super easy to make, better than store bought!
- Cranberry Juice - try to find 100% juice for the best flavor. I love RW Knudsen cranberry juice!
- Cinnamon Syrup - this easy homemade syrup is so good for adding spiced flavor to your drinks.
- Ginger Beer - this is such an amazing mixer and it adds a delicious flavor to so many drinks! I most often use Fever Tree brand.
Don't forget your garnish! Fresh rosemary is usually available year-round and it's the perfect garnish for many of these holiday drinks. You can also use dried cranberries, pomegranate arils or orange slices.
